What is a tennis bracelet? And how would you style the perfect diamond tennis bracelet? I was recently sent the Lexi bracelet by CARAT London to review and decided to discover more about this classic bracelet style.
Cubic Zirconia and diamond tennis bracelets for women have become a very popular jewelry item staple in recent years. But why is it called a tennis bracelet? I was intrigued to find out more, and delighted when CARAT got in touch asking me to write a review.

Why Are They Called Tennis Bracelets?
This elegant style of diamond bracelets used to be called “line diamond bracelets” due to being made up of a line of identically sized and shaped diamonds placed in a symmetrical pattern in a setting of precious metals. However, this name went out of favour.
In the 1980s, a well known tennis player called Chris Evert was playing tennis whilst wearing her diamond bracelet. During the tennis match she lost her bracelet, and the match was stopped whilst she searched for it. When the bracelet was found, it was discovered to have a broken clasp.
Jewellery makers decided to redesign the clasps of future pieces to create the perfect tennis bracelet. These diamond bracelets have more secure clasps that will not open during wear, thus ensuring that the diamonds of your beautiful tennis bracelet stay on your wrist and will not be lost.
CARAT London have a large selection of tennis bracelets for women and some of the best diamond bracelet designs. I was sent the Lexi Bracelet.
The CARAT Lexi Bracelet
The Lexi Bracelet is made of a perfect line of round brilliant cubic zirconia stones. These are set in sterling silver. The resulting bracelet has a classic, elegant yet modern feel.
Instead of a traditional clasp, the Lexi bracelet has the signature CARAT slider. This intricately jewelled slider adds the perfect finishing touch to the piece. And because the slider can be adjusted means that the piece will fit on most wrist sizes between 13cm and 21 cm. It is incredibly comfortable, and yet feels perfectly secure once in place.
I absolutely love this simple yet stunning piece, and I am sure it will be one of my staple jewelry pieces for years to come. But what is the best way to wear it?
How To Style A Tennis Bracelet
These bracelets are designed to be worn all the time, so are equally as perfect for wearing to the office or for a glamorous night out.
For an evening out, I would pair with some dazzling drop diamond earrings. For a simple look you can wear alone. Or why not layer with other pieces to really make a statement?
As a classic and elegant piece of cubic zirconia or diamond jewelry, tennis bracelets make wonderful eternity bracelets or are perfect for wearing on your wedding day.
The Lexi Bracelet is £279 on the CARAT website so do take a look. As I said before, CARAT also have a large selection of real diamond bracelet designs, engagement rings, earrings, necklaces and bracelets in yellow gold, rose gold and white gold, so if you are looking to shop they are always worth checking out.
