*This is a collaborative post – for more details, see my Disclosure Page You may not know it, but Hotel Chocolat don’t only make chocolate. They’ve also released a beauty range named after the plantation where their chocolate story started. Here at A Rose Tinted World, we were given the opportunity to try some of the Rabot 1745 body scrubs.
#AD Disclaimer: We were kindly gifted two Rabot 1745 body scrubs for free to review the product. But all our opinions are our own and honest.
Rabot 1745 Body Scrubs – From Hotel Chocolat
Since 1745, the Rabot Estate has been producing cocoa beans and providing employment for the local farmers. But in 2004 the plantation was in a bit of a sorry state. Cocoa production in the islands had seen a real decline. The owners of Hotel Chocolat, Angus Thirlwell and Peter Harris, decided that it was just what they needed in their vision to produce high quality chocolate products. And so the Rabot 1745 story began.
Last year they decided to add a new range of products. The Rabot Estate plantation in Saint Lucia is now the inspiration for a full range of beauty gifts, perfumes and room diffusers. Some of these products are based around chocolate, but a lot of the range takes inspiration from the tropical location of Rabot and contain ingredients grown on the estate.
Rabot 1745 Coffee Body Scrub
The first thing I reach for (once I have got ready) on a morning is a coffee. So I was delighted to see a body scrub that helps me wake up and smell it in the shower.
The Coffee Body Scrub contains the Rabot house blend of Arabica ground coffee. This is ground with the husks to produce a coffee coloured paste, with coffee grounds added to exfoliate away dirt and dead skin. Argan oil, cocoa butter and almond oil moisturise and nourish, and the caffeine tightens the skin.
It left my skin with a lovely smooth but not oily finish, and just a hint of a coffee scent.

Rabot 1745 Salt and Lemongrass Body Scrub
The other body scrub that I was very pleased to receive was the Salt and Lemongrass scrub. My favourite summer scents always include citrus.
This scrub contains lemongrass oil, which is a wonderfully uplifting and energising scent to start the day. And this time, salt provides the exfoliation factor. Add the almond oil and cocoa butter also contained in the scrub into the mix, and again you have a zingy zesty scrub, that leaves you smooth and refreshed.
It also contains shea butter, orange oil and lemon myrtle oil. I absolutely loved the rich citrus scent of this scrub, and it gave me a real spring in my step to start my day.
Rabot to Go
The best thing is, once the scrubs are finished, the tubs aren’t! Both body scrubs come in a reusable coffee cup container. These reusable coffee cups are made from bamboo, corn fibre and wood fibre. So they are 75% biodegradable. Again, they have been inspired by the pods grown on the Rabot Estate.
Scrub and sip the Rabot way.
Take your Rabot 1745 reusable cup into any Hotel Chocolat cafe nationwide for 50p off a hot drink or visit the Rabot 1745 cafe at Borough Market for a hot drink completely free of charge.
I love a good spa treatment. See here about my recent visit to My Little Farm Spa.
And I also love saving money on beauty treatments. Why not do your own shellac manicures and save £100s a year?

Ohhh I didn’t realise they did more than chocolate, these sound delicious! I will definitely have to give them a go
The rest of the range looks fab too!
I love Hotel Chocolat! I found some products at the back of their store last time I was in, and I really want to try them!
I haven’t been in a store for ages, but will definitely be looking next time!
This looks to die for!!!!! I’m literally searching for it as I comment. What more could a mum want than her two favourite things in one!
I know, chocolate, coffee and body products!
These sound pretty amazing and I’m so pleased they can be used as coffee cups afterwards. Ingenious!

I had no idea Hotel Chocolat did this sort of thing either! #MMBC
These sound heavenly although I think I’d prefer the Salt and Lemongrass scrub, I’m not sure that I would like to smell of coffee!
#MMBC
Luckily it is just a hint of coffee!
I think these products sound really nice, and both the scents you’ve tried here would appeal to me as well. Great that the containers can be repurposed afterwards!
Thank you so much for linking up with #KCACOLS, hope you come back again next time! x

I think that one is my favourite.
I’ve been trying out these scrubs and can confirm that they’re great! It’s such a good idea to make the packaging recyclable in this way, I hope more brands do this.
Yes, the packaging is a brilliant touch.
