Octopus Kite Review And Giveaway

As a family we love getting out and about, and even though the weather is getting decidedly colder, we love family activities to do when we are on walks etc. So today’s giveaway is perfect for these kind of occasions.

The Octopus Kite From House Of Marbles

This octopus kite is a great idea for the whole family to have when out and about in open spaces. A massive 4 metres long, it is really impressive with it’s long coloured streamers. It has an extra long cable too, making it a great idea for windy days.

What Comes In The Bag?

Octopus kite review - we recently tried out this House Of Marble kite from Wicked Uncle - see what we thought.

Inside the small outer bag is a surprisingly large kite. Made from sturdy weatherproof material, you get a brightly coloured Octopus kite, with strong string and rainbow coloured tentacles attached. The kite does needs to be tied to the cord and handle, but once this is done it is easy to fold the whole kite and handle up into a small parcel ready to take with you on your walks.

Using The Kite

This last weekend we visited Ilkley Cow And Calf rocks, which is a brilliant high open space in which to fly the kite.

NOTE: It is really important to state that you should not fly the kite

  • where there are any overhead cables,
  • in a thunderstorm,
  • near an airport or heliport or
  • near a road or other hazards

The kite was really easy to use and looks brilliant! The vents in the design actually made it easy to set it flying, and we had lots of fun!

View the kite here in the Wicked Uncle shop website, where it retails for £14.95.

We definitely think that it is such a fun activity for all ages, and a great gift idea. It’s going to be perfect for playing at the caravan.

And Now It’s Time For A Giveaway!

You can Win an Octopus kite of your own! Wicked Uncle have kindly gifted me a second kite to give away to my readers. Please note that the giveaway kite is purple rather than pink. here is a picture of the outer package of the giveaway prize.

The nostalgia of it. I remember flying kites with my brothers at the seaside. Sadly I don’t think any of my six nephews and nieces have tried it.

Aww isn’t that fab?! I’ve not flown a kite since I was a little girl but I used to love it. I only had a tatty little kite but it was such fun when you could actually get it up into the air at all This one sounds like a blast and it’s great the vents help the movement. Plus, it’s so colourful and novel that you can’t help but smile. Fab review & giveaway! x

I absolutely love the colourful and fun element of the kite in this prize. The trailing ribbon “legs” look amazing and would look wonderful fluttering on the breeze. I was in Bognor Regis a few weeks ago and happened upon a kite festival in full swing while out for a walk. I was mesmerised by the kites being flown by the enthusiasts attending and also the amazing stunt kite displays to music. It made me think that it would be a wonderful activity for me to participate in with my grandson.
