My word of the week has been Illness.

Illness

Last Thursday afternoon/early evening I wrote a piece on how I was going to ‘Focus’ on getting my goals. Well, someone must have been chuckling and laughing away to themselves, as about half an hour after I scheduled that post I started to feel ill.

Fast forward to 2 hours later on Thursday evening and I was in full flow of vomiting. And later that evening my little girl also was sick.

I spent most of Friday suffering from the same illness. My little one couldn’t go to nursery, so we spent a day in bed. I drifted in and out of being asleep because of how ill I felt. And on Saturday I even wrote a blog post about my day.

Sunday Afternoon

By Sunday afternoon I was feeling a whole lot better, and ready to tackle the huge clear up. There was a huge pile of washing, lots of tidying and I really did want to let loose upon the house with the bleach and the antimicrobials.

And then my other half also succumbed to the illness! He said that he wasn’t feeling well on Sunday afternoon. By Sunday evening he was running to the toilet to be sick and had diarrhoea. It was like Groundhog Day!

And so the house had 2 more days of illness within its walls. By Wednesday, when he had managed to feel well enough to go back to work I felt as though we should have a red cross painted on the door. And that maybe I should abandon boil washing all the bedding and towels and go straight to just incinerating them instead!

No more illness for a while now please!!

I hope you are all feeling well again now x It’s horrid when an illness like this takes over, we are a family of seven so it seems to last forever in our house. I’ve certainly felt like painting a cross on the door a few times. x

We are great now thank you. I can understand you saying how it dwells if there are a few in the house!
