Are you looking for a fun outdoor game that all the family can play this summer? Then I do not think that there is a better game than one where you throw two porcine inflatables to score points! From 4 to 94, this is a hilarious fun game that everyone will enjoy. And it is called Giant Pass The Pigs!
*Ad – we were kindly gifted our giant Pass The Pigs game to review by Winning Moves – but all opinions and views are our own.
Giant Pass The Pigs
It certainly looks like we are going to be spending a lot more time with our families in the garden this summer. And what better way to pass the time than playing some games?
A lot of games are a little too old for my 4 year old. But when I found out that there was a new variation of one of the favourite games from my youth I was so excited to be able to share it with you.
Pass The Pigs
The original Pass The Pigs game was a massive hit back in the late 80s, when I was a teenager. If you have never seen the original game, it is played with two small pig shaped die, which are thrown and scored according to the way that they land.
Due to its small size and portability, it made the perfect travel game. (And thus it was played lots on school trips as I was growing up.) I have very fond memories of playing very competitive games in the common rooms of my school.
And because of its easy scoring system, it is thus a brilliant game that the whole family can play. As soon as a child can recognise the difference between the way the pigs land, and the difference between a ‘snouter’, ‘razorback’ and ‘leaning jowler’ then it becomes a proper crowd pleaser of a game. But there is now an added new dimension to an already winning formula…
It Has Gone Supersize!
Imagine now that you are playing with giant inflatable pigs instead of the small pig dice. Does this add more fun? I couldn’t wait to find out.
Winning Moves kindly sent me a game to review. And I promised to play it with my little girl as soon as it arrived.
Rain Stops Play
But then, in its inimitable fashion, the wonderful sunny days that we had been having turned to rain. And it has only been in the last couple of days that I have been able to get outdoors.
So what did we think?
Playing Giant Pass The Pigs
The game comes with two flat pig inflatables. And as soon as I inflated these, my little girl was so excited to play. The inflated porkers are as big as my 3 seater sofa!
The game also comes with a score pad, which has the very simple rules printed on the front. As I said before, it is such an easy game to play.
Whilst you can play this game inside, it really needs some room! So we went out to play. And had such a lot of fun playing with the supersize pigs.
It really is such a hilarious game that everyone can get involved in. And yes, giant pigs just make it so much better for parties and get togethers. Once we can get together, that is.
As with the small travel set, I have no hesitation in recommending this game to everyone. I know that this will be a family favourite for years to come, and cannot wait to play it with some of my other friends and family. Why not try it too?
Is this a game you think you could enjoy in the summer months ahead? I’d love to hear your thoughts. Comment below, or why not find me on social media?

This is my girls favourite game at the moment. It’s only the last couple of days we’ve been able to play it outside though. It is a lot more fun with a whole garden to play in.
Even with my 9 foot high ceilings I feared for my lights. But it is a cracking game! Glad you’re enjoying it too.
How cute!! I still have my travel Pass the Pigs game. I’ll have to get this one, too. My daughter would love it!
