When you are looking around for child carers or tutors, you really don’t want there to be any doubt about the safety of your child. Or the quality of service that you are going to get. It can be hard to find childcare facilities, but this week I was introduced to a great website that can help you to find and decide on the best place or person to cater for your needs. Find childcare that you can trust online with Childcare.co.uk.
Find Childcare That You Can Trust Online with Childcare.co.uk
Established in 2009, and with over 2 million members, childcare.co.uk is an award winning online network for parents, childcare providers and tutors.
You may be looking right now for emergency care whilst you are at work if you are a key worker during the current pandemic. Well, this site is a great place to start looking for great childcare facilities in your area.
What Is Listed On The Site?
With a simple postcode search, you can look within a certain radius in your area for lots of different types of childcare and tutoring services. Choose from
- Babysitters
- Childminders
- Nannies
- Nurseries
- Nursery Nurses
- Tutors – of all subject types
- Before and after school clubs
- Household helps
- Schools
- Private midwives
- Maternity nurses and
- Doulas
You can also check whether places are Ofsted registered, offer before and after school wraparound care, offer Montessori type learning, or offer free child places.
How Do You Choose Once Your Results Show Up?
Each of the service providers on the site has written their own small piece, and usually provided a photograph. From this profile, you should be able to see all the information about their experience, qualifications, and whether they have a current DBS certificate. Are they Ofsted registered? Childminders may also list when they are care inspectorate registered.
You can also see reviews from their past and present customers. Which is a great feature.
In addition, the site has a large help section for if you need extra guidance. This discusses (amongst many other things) references and background checks, which are vitally important to check before you agree to anyone looking after your child.
And there is also a secure messaging service within the site so that you can contact any potential providers. You can then ask those basic but vital questions to ensure that you are happy with their credentials.
Finally, I would suggest that you meet in person, and ensure that they have a copy of their DBS certificate and other certification.
How User Friendly Is The Site?
I found the site pretty easy to navigate, and very useful. You can filter your searches, and easily narrow it down to find exactly what you need.
The site is comprehensive and clear, without being too complicated. And so I think it is a great place to look when you are starting your search for childcare services.
I do hope that you too find your perfect childcare solution. And find childcare that you can trust online with Childcare.co.uk
