‘Eggciting’ Easter Sewing Projects And Craft Ideas

If you are thinking of making your own Easter decor or sewing Easter projects this year then I have the perfect list for you. All of these are great ideas of Easter gifts to sew or make.

Whether you are trying to find spring sewing projects or looking for Easter things to make and sell, then I think this post will give you some great Easter sewing ideas and Easter craft inspiration!

Fabric Easter Eggs

Easter gifts are lovely, we all love the odd Easter egg or two. But they do come with such a lot of ‘eggstra’ packaging these days. So why not make these cute Fabric Easter Eggs, and reuse them each year to prevent all the waste? My full tutorial comes with an egg pattern template.

Carrot Drawstring Treat Bags

This is another of my favourite spring sewing projects. These carrot drawstring bags are great for giving to all of your cute little Easter bunnies. See how to make them here.

Fabric Easter Basket

Fabric Easter baskets are a great way to display your Easter treats and decorate your home in the run up to the holiday. And this one is a great Easter basket sewing pattern. It comes with a full Easter basket tutorial and the option of adding bunny ears.

Easter Bunny Ears

These ears were one of my early easter bunny sewing ideas on this site. And my full tutorial for these ears that can be worn rather like a fabric crown come with a free bunny pattern template for the ears.

DIY Easter Spring Pom Pom Garland

Next on this list is an Easter craft project. Pom poms are a really easy craft idea. So why not make some large white and yellow/black pompoms and then turn them into a bees and bunnies spring pom pom garland? This cute Easter craft is great to do with the kids too!

Upcycled Greeting Card Flower Garland

This easy Easter craft is a brilliant way to add Easter home decor all around your home. All you need are some old greetings cards, a way to cut out flower and circle shapes, and a sewing machine to sew the cards together. Before you know it, you can have a whole load of spring garlands to decorate your home for Easter. See how to make it here.

Easter Bunny Treat Boxes

Another very cheap and easy craft to do with the children are these cute Easter Bunny treat boxes. You make these from old loo roll inners. Paint them and add ears to make these very cute mini boxes for candy or other small Easter treats! See how here.

Other Easter Sewing Crafts

As well as all these very particular Easter sewing ideas, you could also just take one of my other craft ideas and put an Easter theme to them. Great ideas for making Easter themed alternatives are Easter fabric crafts such as

  • An Easter Rag Wreath – use spring colours and add some egg decorations
  • Some Boho Easter Rag Bunting – this is so easy and quick to make
  • Easter quilting projects – there are a host of easy Easter quilt projects and quilt block tutorial ideas out there.
  • An Easter Dress – I made this cute dress for my daughter with Easter themed fabric
  • Easter Coasters and
  • Easter themed Bunting.

Other Easter Sewing Projects

Or alternatively you could buy one of the many Easter sewing kits available online – there are lots of Easter sewing crafts kits.

I hope you have enjoyed this post of mostly free Easter sewing patterns and crafts. Happy creating!

These are great craft ideas for easter. I like fabric easter eggs. That is also a clever idea to use some of the remaining fabric from other projects.

I love the carrot treat bags. They would be perfect for stuffing with candy to give to the kids or stuffing them with filling so you can display them.
