I am not one for regular visits to the beauty parlour.I do my own Shellac nails, prefer a quick shower to a long bathe, and just do not really have the time. So when one of my closest friends suggested a visit to My Little Farm Spa as part of her pre-wedding celebrations, I jumped at the chance.

A Visit to My Little Farm Spa

My Little Farm Spa

My Little Farm Spa is exactly what it says. A small spa haven built next to a working farm in Norristhorpe, West Yorkshire. Tucked down a little side road off the beaten track, it nestles in a valley with views over the rolling fields towards Mirfield.

Packages start at £99 for 3 hours of pampering. But our party went for the complete spa and stay experience.

Our Day at My Little Farm Spa

We arrived at 10am, and whilst our party all arrived we were warmly greeted in the lovely spa seating area, and offered a glass of prosecco. Then we were shown down to our beds for the night, and we changed into our bathing costumes.

We spent a lovely time in the hot tub, with views over the countryside. Amazingly, considering it was the end of February, the weather was divine, and we enjoyed another glass of fizz. Though hot chocolate in the hot tub is lovely on colder days too!

Then, after our relaxing dip it was back up into the spa for our morning treatments. We had a choice of 30 minute treatments including

  • a facial
  • a short back massage
  • reiki
  • a body scrub treatment
  • Indian head massage

The Spa treatments are all Neom products, which are just so luxurious! Find Neom products at John Lewis

Whilst we waited for our turn in one of the 3 calming and serene treatment rooms, we were treated to tea, cakes and a wonderful foot and leg revival treatment. I had a lovely facial for my morning treatment, but between us we tried all the options and everyone was delighted.

Lunch

Then it was down to the summerhouse area of the spa, where a gorgeous 3 course lunch was served. With a little more fizz for those that wanted it.

The summerhouse is relaxation central. Cosy and comfortable, there is a seating area inside and out, as well as a shower room. Again we took full advantage of the glorious weather to enjoy the views across the valley, whilst we relaxed and chatted.

In the afternoon we were all called up in turn for our longer treatments. We could have either a longer massage, or a longer facial. I had a long back massage with hot stones, and I was so relaxed I fell asleep!

Before we knew it it was time for afternoon tea. Three different deserts and cakes with coffee and tea. Or more bubbles in our case.

Relaxation

In the evening we relaxed in the summerhouse. This has lots of comfy seating, and we played games and music. Our final meal of the day was served, and our lovely hosts bid us goodnight.

Staying Over at My Little Farm Spa

We decided that a stay over was the perfect way to relax even more. My Little Farm Spa has two beautiful shepherd’s huts, complete with wood burning stoves and cosy beds. As ours was a party of 8, we also used one of their glamping tents. All bedding, towels, slippers and bath robes are provided, and all dietary requirements are considered. All you need to bring is swimwear and something cosy to change into if you are staying over.

We had a wonderful night’s sleep. In the morning we again arose to be able to use the hot tub, and had a full english breakfast before checking out.

All in all, we had a wonderfully relaxing and re-energising stay. Such a brilliant gem of a place in the West Yorkshire countryside.

Our ‘Wish Upon A Spa’ stay over cost £299 pp. Do visit their website for more packages and details at https://www.mylittlefarmspa.co.uk/

Jo, this sounds like a lovely destination. Pre-kids, we used to go on spa getaways and loved it! Excercise, time in nature and a lovely massage, good food. It looks like your time was very special indeed! #ThatFridayLinky xoxo
