It’s the second Sunday in Advent here at the Rose Tinted Advent Calendar – the 9th of December. Bringing you some festive cheer to see you up to the big day! I’m a bit late today…

What is in the Advent Bag?

9th of December - advent bag

It is Mary, from our Happyland Nativity set. A little reminder on this second advent Sunday, that the real reason for Christmas is the celebration of the birth of a baby in a small town over 2000 years ago. I sometimes think that we forget this fact.

We love this little character set, because it gives us a chance to tell the nativity story using all the little characters.

Where is the Elf Today?

9th of December - the elf and the wise men

She has been giving directions to these 3 wise men that were asking her for directions. They are following a star so it seems, and need to find their way to where a baby is about to be born.

After a great night out with friends last night I am spending today in a darkened room. So todays blog is a brief one I am afraid. Even though I followed my own advice on staying safe and tried to prevent my hangover, I did still drink enough to produce a headache today.

Music of the Day

And the music of the day is a quiet one in keeping with my slight hangover. Here is Dulce Jubilo by Mike Oldfield.

Here’s hoping you enjoy the rest of your weekend. See you tomorrow for more advent goodies. Hopefully I will be back to full capacity by then!

Enjoyed this? Why not read some of my other advent calendar posts, starting with December the 1st?

I love the video, a bit like the Acapella videos people are still making now!
