Welcome back to my Rose Tinted Advent Calendar. Well, it is the 6th of December, which is celebrated as St Nicholas’s day throughout many European countries, particularly Germany. If you have placed your shoe outside your door you may have found it full of treats this morning!

The Advent Bag
The advent bag today contained a very old Christmas decoration from my childhood. It is an elf, and is over 40 years old. It is one of a pair of these that were old family decorations from when I lived at home with my mum and dad.
When my gorgeous other half moved in in 2014, we were amazed to find that he has two almost identical decorations also from the 70s. Coincidence? I think that we were all meant to be together. So the four old decorations take pride of place on our mantlepiece. My other half and I got engaged on Christmas Day so it is always a very special time for us!
Where is The Elf Hiding Today?
On the mantlepiece with the other 3 old decorations. They were happy to see their friend from the advent bag!
Music of The Day
I love a good Christmas tune. Here is Britney Spears and “Santa, Can You Hear Me?” Even better – I could only find this version with the words, so you can sing along!
I hope you have a brilliant December the 6th. It is nearly the weekend! Be sure to come back tomorrow to carry on the festivities!
Enjoyed this? Have you read yesterday’s post
Why not read my other post about being frugal this Christmas in Merry Lagom Christmas?
Thank you for the Advent cheer. Brittany Spears music is a guilty pleasure of mine too! 🙂
Hey I won’t judge, I have got lots of really cheesy Christmas music in my iTunes!
We put out our shoes and we had Pakjes Avond in Holland on 5 December. It was fantastic! I love how as a duel nationality family we get a double celebration in December. Happy holidays. #pocolo
It is good that you get 2 celebrations!
This is such a nice post. I love that you both had the same decoration! #PoCoLo
Thank you Rosie. Isn’t it a strange coincidence? They look really good all together. Meant to be.
