And so it begins! Welcome to my #blogmas posts. Over the next few weeks my blog is being devoted to all things Christmas. I plan to feature all my thoughts, musings, traditions and all that we get up to in the busy weeks ahead. I love the run up to the big day! So here is 1st of December in my A Rose Tinted Advent Calendar.

1st of December

1st of December

The Elf has arrived!

1st December - elf has arrived

Elizabeth didn’t really understand the elf last year, so I am hoping that she is a little bit more understanding of everything this year. Each day the elf will be doing something new, or hiding somewhere new with one of the advent bags that I made a few days ago.

Today’s advent bag contains a new Christmas decoration to hang on the tree. I buy a new decoration each year, and this one I bought on our Day Trip To York.  We will be decorating the tree today!

1st December - advent bag - jumping nutcracker

This year we will be having a fake tree, as I still don’t trust Elizabeth with a 7 foot real one! But we will let Elizabeth help trim the tree for the first time!

Christmas Fayre

Also today there is a local Christmas Fayre that we will be visiting, with people selling home made items. There will be music and food and lots of things to see. As a sewist who hopes to get my own products out there in the near future this really excites me. It’s lovely to go see what other people are making and selling. Gives me some great inspiration!

Music of the Day

And talking of Christmas music, there is nothing that gets me more into the Christmas mood than a really good Christmas tune. I think this one is the best start to advent.

I hope that your 1st of December is going to be as fabulous! And whatever you do, spare a thought for others this season, as that is the true meaning of Christmas.

What are you up to this 1st of December – I’d love to hear your comments, or holler at me on social media!
