Just one more week to go! This time next week you may be opening your presents (and the gin!). But for now, welcome to the 18th of December in my Rose Tinted Advent Calendar.
18th of December
The Advent Bag
In the Advent bag today is a small post box. Do remember that it is the last day to post second class here in the UK. And Thursday is the last day for First Class.
Where is The Elf today?
Meanwhile, the Elf today has been making friends with the feline occupants of our house. Joy was a bit distrustful at first, but Elf promised to put a good word in with Santa so she may get one of her top presents!
The Music Of the Day
Today’s Christmas Music comes from one of my absolute favourite Christmas Albums. Love her or hate her, you have to admit that Mariah Carey has made a huge impact on music, and when she brought this song out in the mid 90s it grated on me within about 3 weeks, but the rest of the album is great.
My gorgeous other half has just admitted that he hates this song, but that it is an ear worm nonetheless. Merry Christmas Darling!
Come back tomorrow for my ultimate Chocolate Cake Recipe. It deserves the capital letters.
Enjoyed this? Why not read my post about staying safe when out drinking over the party season?
Or find out some facts about Santa…
Elf on the shelf wasn’t around when my children were growing up, my grandchildren love to tell me what their elf has been doing though #triamphanttales@_karendennis
I like our elf, she isn’t too naughty. My LO isn’t that interested again this year though…
Haha I don’t blame your husband, but know loads of people love the song X #triumphanttales
aww poor joy, she doesn’t look impressed hahaha! Thank you for sharing this with us at #TriumphantTales. I hope to see you back next year, merry christmas!
Thank you for reading. Merry Christmas to you too!
